Professionalism, inclusivity and enjoyment

Hugh Rogers
Patron
Hugh is a long standing member of the village and the cricket club having joined upon retiring from premier cricket for Callington. Bringing a very wise and level head to the First Eleven is experience and knack for seeing the ridiculous in just about everything he does keeps things cool at times when everyone else is melting.

His encouragement of youngsters is heart-warming and his efforts on the social calendar and fundraising are outstanding.

He also represents the County being a regular in the Cornwall O60's 1st XI side.

He can usually be found when not playing, or enjoying a drink in the bar after a game, sitting on his outfield mowers assisting the ground staff or driving one of his many Bentley’s.

Mike Conbeer
President
Mike joined the club in 1979 and is one of the longest serving member of the club. His loyalty to the members, the buildings and the playing surface sees him turning his hand to everything including at the mature age of 79 captaining the 3rd XI as well as keeping wicket.

Having a team where there are possibly as many as 5 youngsters it is no mean feat and not without its challenges but he takes it in his stride, with enthusiasm and the protectiveness of a grandfather.
He is an inspiration to us all.

Alan Sedgley
Chairman

Stuart Nye MBE
Vice Chairman
Stuart joined the club in 2019 having moved down to Cornwall upon retiring from his illustrious Army career to be nearer to his elder son and wider family.

Being a fairly decent slow mystery bowler he was quickly pounced upon to join and play for the club and within a couple of seasons he was coerced into becoming our Chairman.

His previous last 3 year success in driving the club into the 21st Century has been a whirlwind of activity. He is very welcoming, full of enthusiasm, always rallying the troops with his leadership qualities and is a wonderful addition along with his wife Beverley to our club.
